Fire on the Altar

Has the fires on the altars in America gone out? Altars without fire is like going to Church without God showing up. We end up having performances of personalities on display rather than offering ourselves as living sacrifices on altars of fire.
There must be a perpetual flame!
This flame of fire must first be on the altar of our hearts. Our hearts must begin to burn again for God's presence.

As I have the opportunity to travel the nation ministering in various regions. I have noticed that there are certain cites and regions where there is a level of receptivity and openness that produces an atmosphere of breakthrough.Whereas in other regions there is a hardness, a closed atmosphere which makes things very difficult. When I have to go into those closed atmospheres the energy that it takes out during ministry is tremendous. Obviously to be able to work in the environment where things are conducive to the Kingdom demonstration  is much more inviting. When those atmospheres of openness are present there is an increase of healing, deliverance, and breakthroughs both for churches and for individuals. There are the factors that contribute to creating these atmospheres.

Levitcus 6: 12 The fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it; it shall not go out-

Throughout the night the embers of the evening burnt offering were to remain on the altar and the altar fire was to be kept burning. In the morning, wearing clothes appropriate to each task, the priest was to remove the ashes from the altar and then dispose of them in a ceremonially clean place outside the camp.

The priests were responsible to keep the fire burning on the altar at all times.

We like to put emphasis on the quality of things in America and especially in our churches. I am not against quality. We should be a people that does things in a spirit of excellence. Our God is a God of excellence. What we give unto God should be done in a spirit of excellence. However, if we are not careful in the process of creating excellence the emphasis now shifts to performance.

There must be a perpetual flame!

This flame of fire must first be on the altar of our hearts. Our hearts must begin to burn again for God's presence.

How many churches across the nation gather on weekly basis, only to try to rekindle the fire in people's lives because their hearts have grown cold.

One of the reasons the fires on the altar have gone out is because there is an absence of prayer in churches. We desperately need fresh fire in America. The priests were the ones responsible for keeping the flame burning not God.
Even the Apostles in the early church recognized the importance of prayer. They appointed deacons to do tasks that was taking time away from the Apostles so that they could continue to devote themselves to prayer and the Word.

God is bringing together intercessors in regions to begin to assemble together and intercede for that region that fresh fire may be loosed. There are strategies that are being released from heaven now that are going to cause us to turn our "worlds upside down". One of those strategies is corporate intercession. You may be one that God is speaking with to become a part of that company. Accept the call to be a fire starter in your region!

May the Revival Fires on the Altars of America Begin to Burn!
