We are in a time spiritually where there is an awakening occurring in the body of Christ. As this awakening occurs God then shifts us into a place of acceleration. However, there are many people, churches, and ministries that are not functioning at their full potential. The spirit that has lulled the body of Christ to sleep is robbing people to walk in the fullness of their inheritance.
Every generation experiences a visitation, a new move of God if you will. When you begin to walk in the newness of that fresh move there is so much life, so much anticipation, so much joy and expectation because what you are experiencing is life changing. You can't wait to be at church. You look forward to bible study and all night prayer watches. You are sharing what God is doing with whoever will listen. However, some people get stuck in what was once new and now it becomes common. The newness loses its luster, and if you are not careful even the new move that you experienced can actually begin to become repetitious. Prayer becomes repetitious, serving becomes work.
When things become repetitious you begin to lose alertness. Your ability to discern God's voice and direction in your life will be diminished, and your strength will be depleted from you. There has been such a spirit of complacency in the church. People don't want to contend for the faith that was once delivered. They want things easy and simple. I know that this does not sound like a pleasant word. But that is part of the problem. Sometimes in always giving pleasant words, those pleasant words have caused us to fall into a deep sleep and now many people are just going through the motions in their daily walk and service unto the Lord. Leaders are in a spirit of complacency, intercessors are in a spirit of complacency. Here is a prophetic word for your life; it is time to awake, to arise and to shake yourself from the dust of the cares of this life.
Isaiah 52: 1-2 Awake, awake! Put on your strength, O Zion: Put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city! For the uncircumcised and the unclean shall no longer to you. Shake yourself from the dust, arise: Sit down O Jerusalem! Loose yourself from the bonds of your neck O captive daughter of Zion.
For the body of Christ to awake out the spirit of complacency God send's voices, men and women of God that will speak a word that will cause you to desire the Kingdom. To awake means to stir yourself up. When you begin to stir yourself up you will begin to discern God voice and direction and your strength will be renewed like the eagles. When you come out of complacency one of the first things that God does is restore a new praise and a new sound in the earth. Start your day with praise, and watch God shift and accelerate your life.
